Coming trends for 2013 and the future of SEO. The entire scope has changed within the last few months and will continue to do so as Google wages a war on useless low quality content as well as destroying older link building tactics.Updates such as Florida, Panda and Penguin have done a number on many people. These days the most successful tactics are the most honest and it simply comes down to:
Inter connectivity throughout each medium and heavy promotion seem to be the name of the game to be successful with SEO and online marketing for the coming years.
But who knows, Google could go ahead and make even more changes on the sly and leave us all asking what the hell?

So it’s Superbowl Sunday once again… and I don’t care one bit. Don’t get me wrong, American football is interesting, and the players involved are some of the top athletes in the world… but it’s just a joke the amount of down time. I’ve had my run ins with American football from when I spent some time in the States and I love the entire culture of it more than the game itself. Tailgating, BBQ beers, cheerleaders.. what more do you need! I’ll be watching for the usually fantastic halftime show and some brand new movie trailers shown throughout!
All these aspects are fantastic but the actual game falters. Example, the show tonight will go on in the range of 3 to 4 hours. Yet the actual time the ball will be in play will average about to be 11 minutes…. yes, 11 minutes. The game will show 17 minutes of replays, and 67 minutes of the players just standing around a total joke. This is actually true, I’m not making this up… the Wall Street Journal did an article on it, check it out!

Not gonna put much thought into this, just gonna go with the flow. Had it now for four days and I can easily say it’s probably been one of the best things I’ve ever bought. I’m coming at this from someone who’s not had an iPad before, the only thing close to this is my iPhone 4. It is just perfect in my eyes. Every time I pick it up and use it I feel like I’m on the set of Star Trek or something, it’s just insane. Everything about it screams style, class and innovation.
Lets first look at the actual design of the thing. This is the first “tablet” product that I’ve ever bought. I’ve seen my fair share of desktops, laptops and smart phones and everything in between but never took the plunge into the tablet market but I’m glad I did. The IPad Mini feels solid.. Quality at your fingertips, it’s a sturdy product that puts my faith in Apple that they know what people want. It’s not too heavy but has the correct weight that gives it a solid feel.
The mini has the same back as an iPhone 5 which is a gigantic improvement over the iPhone 4 and current generation of iPads. It’s a brushed metal finish that is just lovely, although it can get quite cold which leads to some condensation when warm hands pick it up to use. You can easily check out the official stats of the mini, it’s size, dimensions and weight, to explain it out in laymen’s terms its about the size of a human hand. Easy enough to hold in one hand but just about the perfect size in my view.
Finally new picture of the brand new PlayStation 3 Slim! I’ll be getting one of these!

Can’t wait!

Watch Dogs
Single player and online multiplayer.
PS3, XBox 360 and PC.
Published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Montreal.
Ever since I first saw the trailer/gameplay footage of Watch Dogs I was completely intrigued so I decided to trawl the internet in search of any and all information about the game, I can see myself becoming totally engrossed in it. It has apparently been in development for the last two years, being worked on by the folks at Ubisoft Montreal.
The game is a kin to Grand Theft Auto, in the sense that it is an open world style game, where you can interact with a wide variety of people and objects. Watch Dogs takes place in the future, in Chicago as far as I can tell. In their version of the future, EVERYTHING is intertwined and can be hacked, the network is everywhere, the CTOS (the network) which looks to be a major gameplay device allowing for a variety of different situations to unfold.
The player character is named Aidan Pearce who comes from the toughest neighborhoods in Chicago, and I’m guessing is some form of police officer or private investigator, not quite good nor bad. Not afraid of some violence and armed with a gun, which he draws as well as covering his face so perhaps he is not totally clean cut?
You seem to be able to hack into a wide variety of different systems, such as peoples mobile phones to find out their info, the traffic lights to cause crashes, operating the cities bridges for escapes, hacking into the metro system to control the trains and emitting an emp which shuts off other peoples phones. Even when you take your own phone out to do some hacking, you can see the visual connections on screen with a cool digital rope extending outward from your own device to anything that is connectable in range.
Important objects, and people within the game present a visual floating digital fingerprint, containing all their details and allowing the player to interact with these, such as shutting off cameras, or getting info on a certain npc, usually way more info than Aidan would need, their deep, dark, secrets!
The game seems to employ a cover system similar to that of GTA 4, but which looks to be a bit more fluid. The game play demo shows a brutal shootout in the middle of a busy city intersection, one of the most realistic shootouts I’ve seen in a game, no multiple gun shots and health bars, one or two hits to take the bad guys down in a chillingly realistic way.
I will be following this game with a very keen interest, cannot wait!

Facebook are creating their very own version of a central app store similar to that of the Apple App store and apps for android. This would put all of the apps that are available on Facebook in one place where people will easily be able to find them, and the apps used by their friends. They already have tons of them, most well known would probably be apps such as Farmville and Poker. More and more apps will most likely be developed especially for Facebook if they are now all in one central location.
Basically the App Store for Facebook only. Nice one, Zuckerberg!

Yesterday saw the unlocking of the first three events of the last Radnet events in Prototype 2. Providing you’ve finished the first four sets, completing these three will put you half way to the final rewards, Weightless Muation and the one everyone is waiting for - The Alex Mercer Skin!
Note: You do not need to get gold in any events, this just gives you more EP, a bronze in all them will still net you the rewards!
These are:
-Kamikaze
This is a collateral damage event, where you must jump off a skyscraper and kill the amount of Blackwatch targets to get a rank, this one is super easy if you’ve done the last few, you need at least 55 kills for bronze, 70 for silver and 85 kills for Gold. You should be able to get past the first two rounds on only one dive, giving you at least 40 kills, super easy.
-Flyover
This is a chopper event, where you must fly a gunship helicopter through series of targets within the allowed time. This is actually super easy, a trick is to focus on the actual helicopter and not the aiming recital, easy to get at least the bronze.
-Infection Spreader
This is a challenge that can be completed anywhere, you must infect 50 humans with toxic barrells in 30 seconds. These barrels are found on military bases and are coloured red and blue. Just throw them at as many people as possible. A bit tricky but not too hard!
Check back June 7th for the last 3 events!
For anyone with more money than sense, or some disposiable cash lying around the place that could be better used for a Flying Radio Controlled Shark, or a Walk In Beer Cooler, check out thisiswhyimbroke.com!
I’ve spent hours looking through this site wishing I had the cash to splash out on some of the crazy stuff they have!
Check out this trailer for a new upcoming game by Ubisoft called ‘Watch Dogs’.
It looks good… really good!
I’m not sure I really get this site, it’s like an online business card perhaps?
